Red seal, level 3 Automotive Mechanics and Apprentices
Jim Gauthier Kia is looking for red seal, level 3 Automotive Mechanics and apprentices. You will play a crucial role in the customer experience by conducting diagnostic procedures to determine vehicle maintenance requirements and providing accurate repair recommendations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform diagnostics, repairs and maintenance on vehicles.
- Completing preventative maintenance as it relates to repairing or replacing worn parts.
- follow a checklist to ensure that each critical part of the vehicle is examined thoroughly, review work orders and discuss with supervisor.
- Inspect motor in operation, road test vehicles, and test systems and components using computerized diagnostics and other testing devices to diagnose and isolate faults.
- Adjust, repair or replace parts and components including fuel system, brakes, steering and suspension, engine and drive train, emission control and exhaust, cooling and climate control, and electrical and electronic systems.
Successful candidates will:
- Demonstrate and champion a healthy and safe work environment.
- Have completed a related post-secondary program and or training courses.
- Display a professional demeanor and strong work ethic.
- Have excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to meet physical demands such as heavy lifting, standing for long periods of time and using to use power and hand-held equipment.
- Must possess a valid driver's license and a safe driving history.

Jim Gauthier Kia is looking for a reliable and motivated Parts Driver / Shipper & Receiver to join our team. This role will begin primarily as a parts delivery driver, with the opportunity to learn and grow into shipping and receiving responsibilities within our busy parts department.
This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys being on the road, working with a team, and developing new skills in the automotive industry.
Responsibilities
- Deliver automotive parts to local customers, shops, and dealerships in a timely and professional manner.
- Pick up parts and supplies from vendors when required.
- Provide friendly and professional customer service during deliveries.
- Assist the parts department with organizing and staging outgoing deliveries.
- Learn shipping and receiving procedures including inventory handling, order verification, and stocking parts.
- Assist with receiving shipments, checking orders for accuracy, and organizing inventory.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment in the parts department.
- Help with general parts department duties as needed.
Qualifications
- Valid Class 5 driver’s license with a clean driving record.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and handle parts shipments.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently.
- Comfortable learning new systems and processes.
- Previous delivery, warehouse, or automotive experience is considered an asset but not required.
