What’s new for 2023?
The Kia Sportage has come a long way. With the most recent vehicle refresh, the 5th generation of Sportage has surged into the future with its all-new modern styling. Also expanding in 2023 to include a Hybrid and Plug-In Hybrid Electric models the Sportage now goes even further. On the inside, you will find a thoughtful and user-friendly layout that features loads of in-car tech and driver aids. Standard features include forward collision avoidance, lane keep assist, lane follow assist, Apple Carplay, Android Auto, a number of USB ports with convenient, easy-reach placement throughout both rows, and a dealership favorite, expandable cup holders that go from coffee cup to 40 oz jug with one touch. With even more available options such as smart cruise control, surround vision, or even ambient LED lighting you can do, and enjoy more from the driver seat.
The two rows of generous seating can easily accommodate even larger rear-facing child seats while providing a comfortable 39.6 cubic feet of cargo space. Fold down the rear seats and that cargo space expands to a generous 74.1 cubic feet making the Sportage a leader in the compact SUV class.
Choose from the gas-powered 2.5L 4-cylinder gas engine or bump up your fuel economy with a permanent magnet synchronous motor that works in conjunction with a 1.6L turbo gas 4-cylinder engine that, in the Plug-in Hybrid model, can even offer up to 55km of electric-only driving range. Available AWD on most trim levels and a longer wheelbase than previous generations make for capable, sturdy handling with a quiet comfortable ride quality.
